At Wharekauhau, dining is an extension of the estate itself — seasonal, generous, and quietly refined. There is no formal restaurant; instead, guests dine in the Dining Room, much like in a private home, where the experience feels personal, unhurried, and deeply connected to Wairarapa.

From Land and SeaEstate-Led Cuisine

Our menus are guided by what is grown, foraged, and thoughtfully sourced from the surrounding landscape. We work closely with local, sustainable, and ethical producers, alongside what is harvested directly from the estate and nearby coastline — preserving the integrity and natural beauty of New Zealand while bringing a true sense of place to every dish.
